1000 Pounds Delivery from Big Wheel Farm

Mr. André Kempton (Wild Leaven Bakery) is holding a bag of grains delivered by Mr. Daniel Hutchison (Big Wheel Farm). The picture was taking in front of our Taos shop.

Few weeks ago, we received a delivery of freshly milled flour from Daniel Hutchison at Big Wheel Farm located in Costilla, NM. He delivered one thousand (1000) pounds of white hard local wheat flour at our Taos shop.

At Wild Leaven Bakery, we proudly use Big Wheel Farm’s local organic whole wheat in the production of our sourdough breads and selected pastries and cookies.

No Farmers, No Food! We’re always so pleased to receive premium grains and ingredients from our local farmers and friends. Their high-quality food products are the cornerstone of our food production. Thanks to their hard work and commitment to our local food economy, we’re able to offer you healthy, nutritious, and delicious sourdough breads, pastries, cookies, sweets as well as soups and stews.

Most local farmers are occupied with growing our favorite crops on the lands. As a result, they may not have a limited to no social media presence. And we won’t want it another way.

This year again, let's build a strong local food economy, one loaf at a time.

Bon appétit !
