How to store your loaf of sourdough bread? | Wild Leaven Bakery

Dear Sunshine Community,

Now that you have purchased your favorite sourdough bread from your favorite bakery (i.e. Wild Leaven Bakery), your next question may be: How do I store this wonderful and tasty handcrafted food item?

Well, we suggest placing your loaf in a sealed or air-tight food container such as a Tupperware or a Ziploc bag, then keeping your loaf in a fridge for immediate/daily consumption (for about 3 weeks) or in a freezer for longer/delayed usage (for more than 3 weeks).

Consider investing in a bread knife to help you slice your loaf (loaves). We will be happy to slice your loaf (loaves) of sourdough bread at our shops.

For breakfast, consider toasting slices of your sourdough bread and then enjoying them as they are or covering them with your favorite spread (organic butter/ olive oil/coconut oil/peanut butter/ local jam/honey ).

For lunch, you may make a sandwich, while for dinner, have the toasted slices of your favorite sourdough bread with your salad/soup. Either way, have your way!

Together, let's build a strong local food economy & Bon Appétit!
