Let's support our neighbors and friends across New Mexico
Some of us have heard news about the news of the wildfires spreading across New Mexico. Some of us have seen there from afar. Some of us have lost our homes from these wildfires. Those folks are our neighbors across New Mexico.
Through this blog's post, we want to empower you, whether you reside in New Mexico or not, to support our fellow New Mexicans neighbors in need. For that purpose, we've listed a number of organizations you can reach out to donate or to volunteer your time.
We'll donate to some local organizations who are currently working extra hard to provide relief to our neighbors affected by the wildfires. We generally prefer to keep our donation process private and have chosen to share this info with you as you may that as our customers, you've help us support our neighbors. We won't disclose which ones and how much money we gave.
NM residents affected by wildfires can apply for possible FEMA assistance. Also go to NM Fire Info for post-fire resources.
According to KOB4, here are links to a few who are focusing on shelters for evacuees, toiletry, collection and animal needs:
- Española Humane
- Santa Fe Humane Society
- NM Fire Relief fund (partnering with hotels to fund shelter for evacuees)
- Cattlegrowers Association (collecting livestock supplies and donations)
- Southwest Salvation Army
- Albuquerque Elks Lodge 505-730-9695 (call to schedule a drop-off at 2430 Centre Ave SE Albuquerque, 87106 or pick up)
Other organizations may also include The Food Depot, All Together NM, Santa Fe Habitat.
Thank you in advance for doing anything you can as we're praying for those who have been affected directly or indirectly by the wildfires.
