'Tis the Time for STOLLEN | Wild Leaven Bakery

'Tis the Time for STOLLEN!
Dear Sunshine Community of Wild Leaven Bakery,
Our all-organic sourdough holiday bread STOLLEN is made of New Mexico Wheat, cream, pastured eggs, cane sugar, butter, rum-soaked dried fruits (raisin, cranberries, Turkish apricots, candied ginger, almonds), and housemade Marzipan with roasted almonds and NM pecans.
Brushed with butter and sprinkled with powdered sugar, our STOLLEN is a true Christmas special. The white sugar bundle represents the baby Jesus swaddled in white cloth in early traditions, and to this day! Geniesen !!
To keep your STOLLEN moist and flavorful, we recommend wrapping your loaf in a sealed container (e.g., a plastic bag) and storing your sourdough holiday bread in your freezer or fridge.
If you choose to store your STOLLEN in a freezer, we highly suggest cutting individual slices beforehand. If you decide to store your STOLLEN in a fridge, you may slice your loaf as you go. Before serving your STOLLEN,slightly warm up your holiday bread in a toaster or oven. Feel free to add an extra dusting of powdered sugar for that classic sweet finish before presenting your STOLLEN on your favorite Christmas platter.
STOLLEN is a versatile gourmet bread that can be enjoyed for breakfast as a Christmas treat with tea, milk, or coffee, as a festive afternoon snack with ice cream, or as a dessert to end a meal with wine. Eat your slice of STOLLEN as is, or with a spread of butter, jam, or cream cheese.
In addition to our STOLLEN, we will keep offering lots of freshly baked goodies: delicious sweet and savory pastries ( Croissants; Green & Red Chile cheese croissants; Chocolate croissants); various types of sourdough bread (baguettes, country loaves, Cinnamon raisin walnut, etc); tasty soups and stews; yummy sandwich melts; coffee and housemade Chai; Chocolate chip cookies and more! Feel free to stop by our shop to treat yourself and your special someone!
During the 2025 Christmas and New Year weeks, our shop will be open on Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 am to 2 pm and closed on Thursday through Saturday.
Together, we are building a strong local food economy, thanks to your 5-star online reviews, your positive Instagram comments, your words of affirmation, and your continued patronage.
